IT'S FAIR SEASON!
Furniture and design fairs across the U.S. and Europe are like the Oscars of the design world—minus the red carpet, but with all the glitz and glam of innovation, networking, and trendsetting. Take NeoCon in Chicago, for instance. It's the Beyoncé of North American fairs, drawing in a global crowd eager to feast their eyes on the latest in office furniture, sustainable materials, and workplace wizardry. Not to be outdone, the International Contemporary Furniture Fair (ICFF) in New York City is the Met Gala of high-end, contemporary furniture, attracting a fabulous mix of designers, architects, retailers, and manufacturers.
Hop across the pond, and you'll find the Salone del Mobile in Milan, the granddaddy of all furniture fairs, turning the city into a design wonderland every April. It's where luxury meets experimental, and everyone leaves a little more inspired. The Stockholm Furniture Fair is the IKEA of design events, championing Scandinavian style with its clean lines and sustainable ethos. Meanwhile, Clerkenwell Design Week in London is like a design carnival, transforming the historic district into a buzzing hub of creativity each May. Together, these fairs are the ultimate playground for exchanging ideas, launching products, and dreaming up the future of our living and working spaces.

CIAO! MILANO. Oh boy! Salone del Mobile is not messing around. The sheer volume of design content is mind boggling and energizing! We were fortunate enough to pay a visit to Casa Cork by David Rockwell on trip to Milan.
The design of the pop-up features custom area rugs and wallcoverings that combine Chilewich's signature high-performance textiles with a foundational layer of recycled cork. The custom Interlace weave pattern is inspired by basketry, which predates the weaving of cloth. It was developed by the Chilewich design team to strategically reveal the cork underlayer, integrating it into the woven surface.
The textile component is woven in Alabama of Terrstrand: resilient extruded yarns that have a polyester core, are free of phthalates, and contain a minimum of 18% rapidly renewable content derived from soybean oil. Our production is in Chatsworth, GA.
