THE PERFECT PAIRING
Pairing design elements thoughtfully across different environments—like workplaces, restaurants, hotels, and schools—plays a crucial role in shaping both aesthetics and experience. Each of these spaces serves a distinct purpose, yet all benefit from a cohesive blend of form and function. In workplaces, for example, combining natural materials with acoustic solutions and flexible layouts can foster productivity and well-being. In hospitality, texture, lighting, and spatial flow contribute not only to ambiance but also to the efficiency of service and guest comfort. The right pairings can transform a space from merely attractive to truly engaging.
Because you're clients are worth it...
Pair's workplace solutions for L'Oreal’s new west coast HQ needed to be as visually stunning as their fresh eyeshadow kits and up to the spatial challenge of the impressive yet unconventional building—a former airplane hanger.
We established our Swing system as the base for open office workstations and added custom colors to the mix, inspired but the colors of SoCal sunsets. To create organic shapes we built upon the Swing system to create bowtie and star-shaped desk clusters. In total, we designed and built 35 different desk clusters in seven colorways, plus work surfaces and storage for 17 private and executive offices. And even with all this complexity, the final install went off without a hitch—not a single part was missing or needed replacement.

IYKYK...
July 25th is National Wine & Cheese Day—the perfect excuse to spotlight two favorites: Domaine Serene wines from Oregon, founded by the Evenstad family who helped shape Oregon’s luxury wine scene, and Wisconsin’s celebrated Rush Creek from Uplands Cheese, a decadent, limited-release cheese arriving again this fall.
Domaine Serene - In 1989, Grace and Ken Evenstad settled in the Willamette Valley, with a deep appreciation for the wines of Burgundy and a faith in Oregon before there was a national market for domestic Pinot Noir. Soon after arriving to the Valley, the Evenstads invested in a 42-acre hilltop estate in the Dundee Hills effectively creating Oregon’s luxury wine industry.
Rush Creek Reserve - Produced only in the fall, as the diet of the cows begins to change from summer pasture to the winter’s dry hay. This rich milk is perfect for a cheese like Rush Creek, so soft and decadent that it’s often referred to as savory custard. Each cheese is wrapped in spruce bark, which gives shape to the cheese and imparts a subtle woodsy flavor. This shape is also ideal for eating directly with a spoon. You're welcome.
Both brands are made in the USA.
